English Proficiency Requirements for Mauritius Entry Permit Application

The Mauritius Passport and Immigration Office (PIO)  requires that every student requiring an Entry Permit to study in Mauritius must show evidence of a minimum level of English proficiency.

In the absence of a High School Certificate with an English Cambridge A level/IB diploma or other A level equivalent(General Paper not below grade C or below 24 points for IB), you will be required to take any of the accepted English proficiency tests and meet the minimum requirements for both overall score and single elements scores (where applicable).


Accepted English Proficiency Tests are as follows:

Important: English Proficiency Test Results should not be older than 2 years.
