How can I know whether I am English proficient or need to submit additional documentation?

At ALU, the primary language of instruction and collaboration is English. We celebrate many languages and backgrounds, but in order for students to thrive in the system with English as a main language, we require a minimum level of English proficiency of our applicants.

If you have passed your A-level national exam in English, or you have taken your A-level equivalent with the English subject and passed English in your national examination, that is sufficient proof of English proficiency.

If the main language of instruction in your secondary school was English and you have taken the English subject in grade 10, 11 and 12 with sufficient grades, that is also sufficient proof of English proficiency.

Should this not be the case and your results have not demonstrated sufficient proof of English proficiency in your application, you will be asked to provide proof of English proficiency, which could be any of the options below.
