What is English Immersion?

Our English Immersion programme is an immersive course that prepares selected students for academic instruction at the tertiary level. As all classes you’ll attend during your Undergraduate experience will be in English, this programme is crucial to set selected students up for success in their academic pursuits.

For students marked to participate in English Immersion, this programme is considered a foundational part of the programme experience and as such the start of your academic term (and the first day of classes for you). This course will take place before the start of term in January and we will provide you with more details shortly.

If you are one of these students, please note that since you have an earlier academic start date, you have a shorter timeframe to complete all steps on your Admitted Student Portal.

How do I know whether I'm asked to participate in English Immersion?
