What does my admissions status mean?

After your application has been reviewed by the admissions team, you will receive either a Firm Admission Offer or a Conditional Admission Offer.

If you are conditionally or fully admitted, you will receive a link to access your Admitted Student Portal to complete your admissions process.

Below is a brief explanation of each admission status:

Admitted/Firm Admission - You receive a firm offer of admission to ALU or ALC if you do not need to submit any supplementary documentation or participate in other mandatory programs. A firm admission means that you are officially admitted to the campus you have chosen in your application.

Conditionally Admitted/Conditional Admission Offer - This means you must complete one of the following programs or submit required documents in order to receive a firm offer of admission and be eligible to enrol.

ALC Mauritius—

  1. Bridging Programme - This program is required for students attending the Mauritius campus, who either have below C average in their UK A-Level Senior Secondary Examinations or whose Senior Secondary Examination is not equivalent to a UK A-Level. Upon successful completion of the program, you will meet GCU's requirements to attend ALC Mauritius.
  2. National Transcript - In some countries, national examination results come out later in the year. If you have submitted your application with only your term report or your provisional results, you will have to submit your Final National Transcript (stamped and signed) in order to receive a firm admission by June 29, 2020.

ALU Rwanda—

  1. Equivalency Document - All admitted students who attended their general education outside Rwanda must apply for the equivalency certificate from Rwanda Education Board (REB). The REB will notify the applicant when a decision has been made. You can apply for the equivalency document online on the IREMBO website and upload your proof of application on your portal.
  2. National Transcript - In some countries, national examination results come out later in the year. If you have submitted your application with only your term report or your provisional results, you will have to submit your Final National Transcript (stamped and signed) in order to receive a firm admission by June 29, 2020.
